How Do Fish Find Their Way?
Hatching adrift in the open ocean, the first obstacle many reef fish face in their life is a miles-long journey through dark, swirling waters to the reef where they will spend the rest of their lives. I talked to WHOI/MIT PhD student Justin Suca, who is tracking how these tiny fish find their way—by listening for the sounds of home.
